11 Day, 10 Night Cruise
PORTS and PLACES YOU WILL VISIT
JUNEAU, ALASKA
Juneau is many things: a mountain town, a coastal community and the most scenic capital city in the U.S. A natural wonder, wildlife hotspot and cultural jewel, Juneau is rich in history, art, music and Native heritage. It’s an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, a shopper’s trove and a food lover’s dream - not just the state capital, but the beating heart of Southeast Alaska.
SKAGWAY, ALASKA
Skagway is a compact city in southeast Alaska, set along the popular cruise route the Inside Passage. It's home to gold-rush-era buildings, now preserved as part of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. The White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad runs vintage locomotives past the famously steep Chilkoot trail and offers sweeping mountain views during its climb toward Canada.
HAINES, ALASKA
Haines is situated at the upper end of North America's longest and deepest fjord. It is 14 miles south of Skagway and 80 miles north of Juneau. The Chilkat Valley is home to abundant wildlife and Haines is home to one of the highest concentrations of Bald Eagles in North America. The sailing between Skagway and Hanes through the Fjords is stunningly beautiful!
HUBBARD GLACIER
At 76 miles long and 1,200 feet deep, Hubbard Glacier, situated off the coast of Yakutat, is the largest tidewater glacier in North America. This glorious and massive mount of ice has been nicknamed the 'galloping glacier' because of how rapidly its advancing towards the Gulf of Alaska through Disenchantment Bay. Experience Hubbard Glacier with the Glacier's calving, see the seals, whales, wildlife, eagles, etc.
SITKA
Accessible only by air or sea, Sitka offers incredible scenery, fishing, hiking, abundant wildlife, and Alaska's most culturally rich history and community. There are twenty two buildings and sites in Sitka that appear in the National Register of Historic Places. It was part of Russia until 1867, when the United States purchased it from Russia. It still has a lot of Russian history and you can see the St. Michael’s Orthodox Cathedral is topped with an onion dome. The 1842 Russian Bishop’s House is nearby. Sitka National Historical Park is the site of Russia’s defeat of the indigenous Tlingit people and has a trail dotted with totem poles.
ICY STRAIT POINT, ALASKA
Icy Strait Point is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. They have an indoor shopping mall, a salmon cannery museum and a restaurant all under one roof. The gondola and zip line are just outside this building. Everything is close together and easy
.KETCHIKAN, ALASKA
Ketchikan is an Alaskan city facing the Inside Passage, a popular cruise route along the state's southeastern coast. Perhaps the most noticeable symbols of traditional heritage are the totem poles, which tell stories of people, places, and events. Ketchikan has more totem poles than anywhere else in Alaska, ranging from 19th-century poles from now-abandoned villages to more recent carvings. Nearby Misty Fiords National Monument is a glacier-carved wilderness featuring snowcapped mountains, waterfalls and salmon spawning streams. It's also home to rich wildlife including black bears, wolves and bald eagles. Due to our thriving, century-old commercial fishery, Ketchikan is known as “The Salmon Capital of the World.” They are proud of their fishing culture and passionate about providing opportunities for visitors to catch and/or otherwise enjoy the best seafood on the planet.
VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA
Victoria boasts colorful gardens, a lovely harbor, magnificent architecture and a rich British ancestry that can be glimpsed through its horse-drawn carriages, tearooms and double-decker buses. The city is also a renowned international hub of culture, art and food. A modern masterpiece. Today, The Butchart Gardens is a National Historic Site of Canada. You'll find remnants of the original cement plant and millions of bedding plants in over 900 varieties awaiting you as you wander The Gardens.
